Alex Coomber
I qualified as a physio in 2014, following an 8 yr career in the RAF. I have experience in both private practice and the NHS. I was lucky to join the Grosvenor team in early 2025. I am a generalist MSK and Sports Physiotherapist. I have worked with national level athletes in athletics, triathlon, cycling, skiing and gymnastics. I have volunteered as a physio at The World Athletics Championships, and act as a Physio Team Leader every year at the London Marathon.
My aim as a physio is to give people the skills to live a pain free, full and active life for as long as possible, whatever their goals and aspirations are.
In my spare time I love to be outdoors, be it up a mountain or on a trail! I am a keen skier, and competitive runner, racing in distances from 100m to 100 miles. I have completed over 30 ultra marathons and I represent England Masters in endurance events.
My sporting highlight is winning a bronze medal at the 2002 Salt Lake Olympics. I also have a passion for travelling, escaping when I can to my absolute favourite place, Japan. When I want to relax, I love nothing better than having a cuddle with my snoring, lazy pug!!
