What to expect from your Runners MOT Appointment

Comprehensive full body assessment looking at running related: muscle control, strength, flexibility, mobility and balance

  1. GAIT Analysis- which focuses on ankle/ foot position and prescribing insoles
  2. Assessment of a current specific running injury- must be able to run pain free for 10 mins, if unable to will need to book a physio assessment
  3. Watching the runner on a treadmill
  1. Any runner of any ability 16 +
  2. Runners with recurrent niggles and injuries
  3. Runners preparing for a particular goal (couch to 5k / 100 miles or more)
  4. Runners who feel they have plateaued in their performance
  5. Runners not moving as efficiently as they used to
  6. Runners returning after time out or injury
  1. History of running habits and relevant medical history
  2. Assessment of
  3. General posture and gait pattern
  4. Joint mobility: Lumbar spine, hip, knee, ankle
  5. Muscle dynamics (strength and flexibility): glutes, hamstrings, quads, calves
  6. Focus areas: Achilles’ tendons, patella tendons, ITB, Plantar Fascia
  7. Balance and proprioception
  8. Core control

Personally prescribed advice, exercises and recommendations based on any weaknesses or imbalances found

Assessment will take 60 mins
