There are so many reasons for foot or heel pain, it may not plantar

Many people – often keen runners – assume that any foot or heel pain is plantar fasciitis. It may be,
but, since the foot is at the end of a long physical chain of muscles, tendons, bones and joints, there
can be many reasons for a problem in that area of the body. The cause of the pain may be much
higher up – and it is just the terminus that gets to protest!

We know that there is always a reason for your pain. It could be due to your biomechanics, an
instability or imbalance in your core, say, or your hips. It may be due to the structures of your foot
or ankle.

At Grosvenor, we take the time to assess all of these factors, finding out which movements cause
you pain and why. We work to diagnose YOUR pain – and then recommend of course of action to
change the root cause whilst also treating the symptoms.

This may involve exercise, stretching, podiatry including orthotics, taping, ultrasound and
shockwave. We get to the bottom of your pain, which may NOT be on the bottom of your foot!

So if you have foot or heel pain, and you think it may or may not be plantar fasciitis, please
consider booking an appointment with us. We’ll remove the guesswork and the uncertainty – and
then we’ll remove the pain
