Sit Fit Classes

This is a seated exercise class suitable for those who want to increase their physical activity and functional ability. The class includes stretches, strength, balance and Tai Chi exercises to help keep you moving. The class is conducted from a chair with some standing activities if appropriate. Exercises can be adapted to each individual dependent on their needs. There is NO floor work involved in this class.

The class will be taken by a Chartered Physiotherapist with a strong background in rehabilitation and falls prevention.

Sit Fit Classes is for anybody who is able to walk using a stick/trolley and is able to stand from a chair with arms. You can wear anything comfortable but not too baggy that it will restrict movement. Please also wear sensible/secure footwear. There’s no need to bring anything - all equipment is provided.

Before you attend, all that is required is a health screening form to be completed. Any concerns can be discussed confidentially with the therapist taking the class prior to booking on the course. Your GP may also be able to advise you if you are concerned.

This class can be paid for on a 'pay as you go' basis or in a block booking of 6 sessions. If choosing 'pay as you go' due to the small class size you will need to pre-book and pay for the following week to secure a place.

Refund Policy
We are unable to offer refunds or exchanges if you cancel once the course is booked and/or paid for. If you miss a session we are unable to offer make up sessions. Please ensure you are able to attend the classes prior to booking. To get the most benefit from the course, a minimum of 4 classes need to be attended with the first session being compulsory.

The classes will be taken by a Chartered Physiotherapist who is also qualified as a Body Control Pilates Instructor and is a level 3 Registered Exercise Professional.
