Pilates for Bone Health
This 6 week mat-based exercise class is specifically designed for those diagnosed with Osteoporosis and Osteopenia. A condition which weakens bones with reducing bone density.
Using tailored Pilates exercises, Pilates for Bone Health promotes:
• Maintenance of bone mass
• Improved muscle strength and flexibility
• Improved balance to reduce risk of falls and potential risks of bone fractures
Pilates for Bone Health classes are run by Karen, one of our Chartered Physiotherapists and Body Control Pilates Instructor with Level 3 Pilates in Bone Health.
WHAT TO WEAR
Wear something comfortable and easy to move in. It is best to avoid bulky or baggy clothing as it makes it much harder to observe your exercise technique! Classes are conducted in bare feet or socks. All equipment is provided. You are welcome to bring your own mat or small towel as required.
HOW TO BOOK A PLACE
Once you have registered your interest in the class, our admin team will contact you regarding bookings. Where applicable, payment is required in advance to secure your place. If you are not currently receiving treatment from one of our Physiotherapists' you may require an assessment session to ensure your suitability for the class. If you are being referred to the class as part of your NHS treatment, this will be in place of individual treatment sessions.

Block of 6 classes
We are unable to offer refunds or exchanges if you cancel once the course is booked and/or paid for. If you miss a session we are unable to offer make up sessions. Please ensure you are able to attend the classes prior to booking. To get the most benefit from the course, a minimum of 4 classes need to be attended with the first session being compulsory.
The classes will be taken by a Chartered Physiotherapist who is also qualified as a Body Control Pilates Instructor and is a level 3 Registered Exercise Professional.
